Top Red Carpet Moments…

The Oscars are about so much more than honoring Hollywood’s top-notch talent. They’re also about who has the best style strutting down the red carpet. Although I adore white simplicity, I have an intrinsic bias for couturier detailing and embellishments.

Many stars wore white last night but some wore it better than others. My favorite white gown on the red carpet was Rooney Mara’s Givenchy dress- hands down! I particularly loved the variations of layers throughout the bodice, which added simplistic depth. The gown also sculpted Mara’s figure beautifully and the flow of her train added a touch of timeless elegance…..

Overall I’m the most infatuated with Michelle Williams in Louis Vuitton and Jessica Chastain in Alexander McQueen! Both gowns are breathtaking pieces of couture with master craftsmanship at their finest! The intricate detailing in the dresses have an unparalleled elegance to any other gowns spotted on the red carpet! Though Michelle Williams’ LV gown had minimalist embellishing, I’m enamored with the striking fabric detail in the bodice and train that looked absolutely stunning! Plus, Jessica Chastain’s Alexander McQueen gown literally made my heart stop. The ornate craftsmanship in Chastain’s dress epitomized McQueen’s unconventional and lavish trademark that make him one of the greatest designers during his lifetime and left a profound legacy in the fashion industry!. The golden embellishments in this particular piece contrast  against the black fabric exquisitely….
