As we’ve said bye to New York Fashion Week and kick it off in London, I’ve selected gamut of my favorite NYFW trends for Spring 2013— that I plan to incorporate in my wardrobe…. Whenever I see collections for the following season, I desperately want the current one to end since I can’t wait to get my hands on the future trends! Is that a good or bad feeling? Or is it justified that everyone might feel the same way? I don’t know, I guess the answer remains ambiguous. Most of all, I’m glad to see saturated hues and pattern blocking make a come back since those trends are my go-to for creating an instant style statement! But I’m also ecstatic to see new looks with a scope on traditional palettes including shades of cadmium and cobalt! While Philip Lim crafted fluorescent overalls and modernized cultural symbols in contemporary inspired motifs, Alexander Wang kept his collection neutral, yet he added depth with innovative textures and tailoring. In addition, I’m also obsessed with sporting knee-high gladiator and open-toe sandals, which ought to make compelling sartorial statements too. Here, are a selection of my favorites from NYFW, plus there are many more Fashion Week posts to come from events across the globe! Until next time, stay stylish!
