I’m so stoked the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston (MFA) is unveiling Mario Testino’s first US exhibit on Oct. 21. Testino’s exhibit ‘In Your Face’ culminates over 30 years of his exquisitely polished and impeccably curated photography featuring Hollywood’s global couture scene– boasting an intriguing air of nonchalance. The images on display, encompass an array of breathtaking moments with celebrities including Carmen Kass, Kate Moss, Hilary Rhoda, Mick Jagger, Madonna, and Lady Gaga. In this retrospective showcase of work, Testino contrasts 125 personally selected photographs ranging from formal portraits to private party snapshots and sartorial nudes— enabling guests to explore Testino’s world working with some of the globe’s top contemporary cultural icons. In addition, the exhibit is complemented by Mario Testino: British Royal Portraits, which also opens Oct. 21. On top of digging his photographs of superstars, I’m infatuated by Testino’s striking sartorial campaigns for fashion houses like Burberry, Gucci, Versace, Dolce & Gabbana, and Michael Kors, among many more. As a lifelong fashionista, I covet Testino’s work in Vogue, Vanity Fair and V, which have all inspired my personal wardrobe choices. Of course, stay tuned, I’ll capture more photos from my visit and give you the inside scoop on the excitement the MFA has in store!!!
