As always, Holt Renfrew kicked-off Toronto Fashion Week with an inaugural show, which is also the most anticipated of the week! Instead of featuring trends for Spring 2013, Holts exhibited more than 60 current looks strutting along the catwalk for Fall. Unlike previous years that focused solely on showcasing Canadian designers, they added international flavor with a roster of global talent including Alexander McQueen, Dolce & Gabbana, Dries Van Noten, Jil Sander, Prada and much more. The exquisitely manicured looks, evoked my craving for much more needed fall investments. From Marni’s citrus red trench to Etro’s psychedelic motifs, a geometric pattern Prada female suit and multi printed Dries Van Noten pieces, the ensembles on display offered a vast curation of apparel and accessories, with everything needed for beyond 9 to 5 chic including outerwear, evening wear and anything else. Nevertheless, Holts is undeniably my favorite store in Toronto! In addition to having a renown reputation for selling throngs of luxe merchandise like my Chanel sunny’s and Dolce kicks, Holts hosts a gamut of phenomenal contemporary finds too (i.e. my entire over-saturated collection of JBrand jeans are from there)!
P.S. Despite my lateness, I’ve finally had the chance to review my favorite looks and here are a select few!
